Bayshore Baptist, one of our CBF FL and Caribbean Islands churches, celebrated its 100^th Anniversary, March 21 & 22, 2026 in Tampa, FL. I am grateful Brian Foreman, CBF Coordinator Congregational Life, was able to join in the weekend festivities.

As the Sunday morning worship service concluded and we were making our way outside to get a group picture, I turned to Brian and said, “I feel like I just drank an energy drink.”  He replied with a grin on his face, “Red Bull Worship.” And honestly, that is exactly what it was! A 100% red bull caffeinated (and holy) experience! 

Weekends like this do more than celebrate an anniversary; they stir up feelings inside us. They remind us of what God can do when people show up. One of my favorite things was seeing that BIG choir that had assembled - where both past and present members gifted us with music that moved us.  

If this is what one anniversary weekend can create, then imagine what is going to come in the next hundred years… certainly not a museum holding onto what used to be, but a life-giving invitation to what God is still doing through people of faith.
